hi to the forum, I have bought a byzanz purple audi coupe, 2.0e, 1996, its lowered on 18s, needs a bit of tlc. I have no central locking at the moment, got to check the pump but I don't have positive to the motor either, have just sorted out the dash lights as I didn't have any.

would like to have a really tidy car as an end result, I know its never going to be worth huge money but what I paid for it gives quite a scope for modding it.

first thing is I need a cylinder head really, exhaust mani stud sheared off and its a mare to try and drill out, prob gonna be easier to replace the head.

whats the wiring like on say a v6 conversion? I have done many engines in many cars over the years but not an audi.

would say the v6 from an a4 Quattro fit straight in? just wiring and exhausts to sort?

thanks in advance, and ill be using this a lot I think Wink

i think you need the sub frame ,drive shafts and shocks/springs /struts for the 2.0e to v6 swap dont know if fuel pump is the same pressure and where is the battery on the v6? i know the 2.0e 8v and 16v have differant positions. probably a few other bits aswell.

If you are looking to do a 30v conversion or any from a A4/B5passat you need to do something about the immobiliser. Either have a specialist 'defeat' it at the ECU or you also need the key/key reader/dash as well as the ECU so the wiring gets a bit involved.
My choice would be 1.8t more scope for for bigger hp and not such a heavy lump
