Guys - preparing for the winter and I'm consdering ordering a new seal for my hardtop from Germany (part number 8G0 817 231). Looking at Elsa there don't seem to be fitting instructions - does anybody have anything that would help? Front part looks to be bonded to the top whereas sides are held by detachable rails.
Many thanks

ELSA only gives information on adjusting the seals by slackening the bolts and moving the rails. There is mention of an additional seal on the sides that is bonded to the roof, nothing about bonding the main seal at the front. It seems the seals have self-adhesive strips on them, this maybe true of the front.

Hi J^%^y, when I had the hardtop, I enquired at Glasgow Audi about this part, and was told there would be no problem obtaining it. If I remember correctly, she even gave me a price for it, (which I cant remember!). Have you tried your local Dealer?

Hi J
Been a long time since I was on the site - happy New Year to everyone!
Put the lid on without replacing the seal and it's just fine. Had spoken to my local stealer who told me I'd have to order from Germany - how helpful......

Hi all
As mentioned previously I am trying to source the hardtop seal item no 23 part no 8G0817245. I have managed to source all the other seals item 22, 33 and 34 together with all the nuts and bolts. I read that one source is located on germany. All Audi dealers and TPS in the uk are showing NLA.
Please can you confirm where in Germany I could locate this part.
Thanks in advance
