The battery was originally at the front of the engine bay Very Happy Moved to the rear as per the S2 Avant - Bez reckons it's a better install than the original!!

Yes I have a crack in the screen - 27 years of motoring without ever changing a screen now two in one winter!!

Do you know anyone around Tayside that can swap them? I had a new one in Titan just after Xmas - seems a shame to waste it - would like to get it swapped over if at all possible. If not will phone the insurance.

Does anyone have a top radiator cover spare for a B4 5 pot (Think the B3 might fit also)?

As per every other Audi I've owned, I think the amp in the beesting has gone as only have limited radio reception - CD player is great though. Very Happy

Yes I'll put some on. Dylan is sending me a 20V badge and I've bought some of the new smaller quattro style badges off ebay. That will be all applied. Wink

Yes - All sorted and running fine.

Nog came up in the most awful weather and changed the head. I put the rest back together and also fitted a proper 20v rad with the aux. Found the fan switch was goosed so replaced that too.

All going well so getting to enjoy it now!

Have some minor jobs to do like replace the aerial and change the rear speakers. Ones in the door have failed as them seem to on all 80's. I have taken the ones I put in Titan out to go in.

Can't believe it but even the missus likes driving this one Very Happy

Nice one Owen!
Pleased to hear it's all good - and has the approval of SWMBO! Wink

Did you get the sunroof and windscreen sorted too?

Looking forward to the latest soundtrack on YouTube, courtesy of Pritchard Productions.... Laughing

Had windscreen changed and within two days it got hit by a stone from a motorway maintenance lorry just outside Abernethy - thankfully the stone must have been soft as although it made a mess, it's only scuffed the screen, not chipped/cracked it.

Sunroof is still jammed shut. The electrics are all fine, I've checked those but the cables are seized solid. Once I have figured out how to remove the roof lining without tearing it I'll have a go at removing it.

May be able to use the mechanism from Titan to sort it Smile

If Titan has a leccy roof then it should be a case of just swapping the cartridges over, then the top plate which is body coloured can be swapped over too.

Head lining is straight forward, but still a PITA, but if you have 26 arms and 81 hands then you will be fine.

That's what I was hoping as I can use the existing body coloured roof panel )I hope)

That's what I am afraid of - Only have two hands and they're full of thumbs Laughing

One more job done today - fitted replacement rear speakers. As with all B4 80's of this age, the originals seem to be goosed!

Sounds all round now
