Standard 18" wheels giving me a hard ride ( yes I know I have 'sports'suspension).
My understanding is that the 16" 5 Arm Kinetic design as fitted to basic models will give me a softer ride, as they are fitted with deeper profile tyres. But Audi want silly money for a set ie £1000+ !!!
Am wary of website companies claiming to sell 16" that fit ALL A3's, after all they are wanting a sale, and I do not know what specification ie offset etc to ask for. Also am wary of the Chav./Halfords effect when you fit non-OE wheels.
Ebay have some proper Audi alloys for sale, mainly from older cars and again most sellers claim they fit all A3's. Have noted a lovely set 16" supposedly for the current A5 !!! but amazed this car sold with such small budget wheels.
Any advice appreciated for this newbie having come the Sunbeam Alpine, Mazda MX-5 and Honda S2000 route to Audi ownership.
