Car failed its MOT.
Garage man said it needs a new front rear subframe mount. / rubber bush for that bit.? NOT sunbframe bush's.
Anyone know where I can get one from.? Preferably quick cos MOT has run out.

I know C&R Enterprises list the range of powerflex bushes. i'm a bit confused as to which bush you are after, but generally Powerflex type are easier to fit than the factory type.
I dont think powerflex do the front subframe bushes, hopefully thats not the part you need?

Since your car is fwd there are 3 types of bush/mounting associated with the rear sub frame and two on the front.
Rear
1. Subframe mounting bush, attaches the subframe to the car
2. The panhard rod (diagonal beam) bushes, one on the subframe and one on the chassis.
3. Shock absorber mounting, where the bottom of the shock absorber attaches to the subframe. (usually part of the actual shock absorber and not replaceable)
Front
1. Subframe bushes, attach the subframe to the car
2. Wishbone bushes, attach the wishbones to the subframe.
So it will be one of these, which one you need Im not sureexactly but it sounds like you may need front number 1, these can either be replaced with dealer or aftermarket rubber and metal ones or you can upgrade to aluminium mounts to firm things up a bit.
Hope this helps
Sion

cheers, it'll be front subframe bushs.
Wheres best place to get them from.? if its not much more it'd be sensible to go for poly type ones, but im happy with the ride as it stands now.

Euro car parts and GSF sell them. You will need some sort of home-made puller to remove and install (similar to a wishbone bush removal tool) if replacing them yourself otherwise a garage will remove the subframe from the car and use a hydraulic press. They are a lot easier to remove than the wishbone bushes .
