Hi everyone.....the TPS on my 1994 2.6 quattro is giving me problems......anyone know ....(1)where i can get hold of the part number and secondly where i can get a working replacement from another scrapped vehicle....ive tried loads of VW AUdi specialist breakers without success.....I wonder if the same part is used across the range????
All help appreciated!.....

Hi mate,
After all the help I've received from this forum, at last a chance to pay one back! Just gone through the same torture myself. Mine's a lowly 2.0L 8v and the part no on mine is 037 907 385 H if that helps identify it. If they are universal, and someone far more experienced than me can no doubt help there, try Vaudi Recycling in Northampton. I picked one up today for £25, and he did happen to mention he had two.
Try and speak to Will, he's their Audi guy. They have a website if you Google Vaudi but they have very recently moved and their website has the wrong number and address. New number is 01604 705 247.
I was also offered the TPs and throttle body by Clivey on this site. track him down and PM him, sure he'll be happy to help.

Good luck Steve,
By the way, aren't you supposed to say something like 'what do you mean lowly 2.0L 8v, they're lovely cars mate'

Sure thing mate...im sure the 2 ltr is a gr8 lump and I know how good the car is!......and im sure you dont suffer the crippling fuel bills that I do!!....still i cant resist that purr of the V6 as I cut the stereo, drop the windows, pull the roof and drop my right plate ..................gggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr8!
I've been performing micro-surgery on my Ambient temp display this afternoon.......Got myself great little gas powered Micro Soldering Iron from 'Laser Tools' and replaced the old bulb in the PCB. Delicate stuff but the patient pulled through and I now have a fully illuminated Temp Display...happy dayz!.....for all of those out there thinking of taking on this procedure....dont be afraid....just get yourself a vice to hold the PCB and a good eye glass to magnify proceedings whilst you apply heat and work the old bulb free and solder in the new one!...oh and a very steady hand!!....theres a walk through in the FAQ's section for anyone looking for tips.
Once again...cheers Gregwah!

Know exactly what you mean Steve, been borrowing my son's 2.6 Coupe on and off whilst mine's getting sorted.
It's so smooth and supple round town but when you put your foot down........Oh yeah! She just never gives up. She goes from purring to growling and I love it!
Fuel wise though I just couldn't use one as a daily driver, particularly round town.
Did you get your bit? Mine's fitted now and it's like a different car.
