Have been meaning to start this thread for a while now

1986 90 quattro,Kv lump and box were removed and sold a few months back

car is in really good nick apart from a few bits here and there which will be getting sorted out in a couple of months at a mates paint shop.

spec

ABY ecu and loom
ABY bottom end
AAN inlet/TB(havn't decided on whether to cut and reweld inlet to front)
custom alloy rad
MR2 electric ps pump(not 100% sure yet)
20v 7a head(off a 90 auto 52k on it) machined to ABY spec, port/valve job
3B 200 016 gearbox
k24
monoblocks
full 3'' exhaust
RR URq flywheel
Sachs clutch
Nardi RR s/wheel
decent suspension
find some track friendly front seats
custom intercooler
NM cam
solid subframe mounts allround
5 stud urq hubs

last pictures shows its current state,next job is to get on with making a custom intercooler and rip the old loom out,head is going away soon for a valve job/porting,should keep me busy over xmas.

alright Jase,those S8's have already gone but will let you know if i get anymore.Just tryed them on one day for a laugh.

They were far too big for the 90 anyway

well,i'm afraid there won't be anymore updates for a while as i am off on holiday tomorrow for 6 weeks.I did intend doing a bit to it over xmas but didn't do a thing really.While i am away the head is getting ported and the valves/guides sorted,so that will be nice to see when i get back.

The garage is pretty good but can only hold four cars at a push, not enough for me as i am a bit of an audi hoarder Laughing

Been a while since i updated this but 2 weeks ago the car was brought out of it's winter hidey hole(covered in dust and bird shite) and moved to its new home about 50 metres away.Cylinder head has been sorted (recut valves/ported/resurfaced etc),have also acquired a high capacity alloy rad.Got a purpose made intercooler in the pipeline.I was hoping to get this running before may Rolling Eyes

but due to not being in england for much of the winter that idea has failed miserably.New deadline is october for castle coombe.

Few weeks back i picked up this other 90(tsr head/schrick cam),no one else seemed to want it.It was up forsale on qforum for several weeks,I did resist for as long as possible but finally caved in.Will be using it during the summer once mot'd,could do with a bit of paint here and there but seems to be in very good nick otherwise.Not overly keen on the reg plate,would like to get rid and put its original B plate back on.

I'm a good influence (if you don't count the two toyota's I helped you buy)

you've managed to accumulate a few audi's thanks to me, plus storage space for around 6-8 currently Shocked

just have to come down and see what other audi's you can get that cheap.

it's about as done as acidburns urq (ie no it isn't!).Havn't touched it in months,but this year I will sort it.Can't seem to find any time/motivation to sort my own cars recently.Cobblers childrens shoes syndrome!

Thats why that old 80 will be going down to huthwaite for a little holiday all being well Laughing
