I was in a suburb of south Dublin the other day, when I saw this interesting but tired Audi 60.
It's LHD, and its (Irish) registration is from the early 70's, but you can see an Arabic registration behind it, together with a sump-guard and ENORMOUS wishbones, so it looks like it was made for the the middle-eastern market.
Unfortunately, being in northern Europe for over 30 years means that it has suffered from that very non-middle eastern malady, severe rust. It hasn't been taxed since 1994, and it doesn't look very salvageable...

Yes, about 1999 the EU finally forced the Irish gov't to bring it in (the NCT - National Car Test - http://www.ncts.ie/ ), and not before time - cars not too dissimilar to this were a common sight on rural roads before then.

Well, if anyone is seriously interested, I could make enquiries (there is a small sole-trader garage across the street, and I'd say that they would know who owns it). My email address is <my_user_name>@o2.ie

Just to confirm that the above Audi has disappeared - presumably it has gone to "the great finish line in the sky", but I can't say for sure...
