Just bringing this thread back from the dead.

The 90 has just been given a mild overhaul.

The winter of 2010 took its toll on the paint, with lacquer lift on most panels starting, so here's some before and after pics

after a few weeks it changed to this

Nice job! Cool

Did you respray it, or is this the result of 'mopping'?

Mike Question

ouch.

Looking good, Mike. You not getting the pin stripe/ graphics redone?

Some people *may* think it's a lot of money to spend on a car that old with such mileage; I don't. We've both known the history of the car since Elliot bought it (1997/ 1998?) and you've attended to just about everything it's needed- with help from here- and others- as well as providing valuable information and resource along the way Wink

Hats off to you.... Very Happy Cool Cool

Cheers for the comments

The original cars never came with pin stripes so I've left them off.

Got some Ronal 15" Aeros (ET37) going on shortly until I can afford to sort the Speedlines.

Plan is to get to 300k.

I've really done it this time. Never one to shirk a challenge, I've got something to keep me busy over the next few months.

A 1992 90 quattro 20v sport is to be returned to a roadworthy condition. It's been idle for 2.5 years and needs some work. Current mileage is 207k.

The following items need addressed to get the car back on the road.

Flat battery
aux belts are almost perished
Faulty alarm
Old brake fluid
leaking radiators
rusty brakes front and rear
cracked sump
broken drivers seat
missing door cards
wheels and tyres are mismatched and illegal

I'll update this thread as I go along. Wish me luck as I think I'm going to need it
m mine has over 260,000 on it and going by mold on car and leafs think it was laid up for months before i got her Sad but all well runs great and i think be improveing it over next 7 yrs Smile before i retire bk to asia
