I bought my first cabriolet last week, a 1998 2,6 auto, and I am so far very happy with it. As it was including a hard top it was mounted before I could drive it home and I have kept it on since I want to use the cars a little bit now to see how it runs. But within some weeks I plan to put it in my garage and am thinking about if it should be stored with the top up or down? It sounds more reasonable to have it up to avoid wrinkles and possible breakage, but with no experience I am not sure. Any tips from you? And what products is best to use to keep it soft and in good condition?

As mentioned it seems to run good but of course have the usual small problems; no working temp gauge, no lights in clock and gearselector, no working electric antenna, but for the rest it looks quite good. Smile

Hi Mate,

I always store mine with the top up to stop the material cracking but release the tension by opening the handle and letting the roof rest on the screen top.

I've always been concerned if the window freezes it would break if folded! Mind you, I do use mine through the winter every chance I get.

Good luck and happy motoring
