That'd be great, thanks Jon
On another note, possibly found the wheels I'm going to buy and fit.
New style VW R32 rims in 19".

Might be worth getting it on vag com check the timing, and what's the airfilter look like?
The pipe you t'ed into is fine this is where the car's ECU gets boost info from anyway, but it doesn't go to the ECU it terminates at the bulkhead on the N75 valve which is in two parts on this car one is the little sensor that the boost pipe goes to the other is the wastegate control the valve shaped device next to it which opens the wastegate on overboost related to N75 duty cycle.
This intermittent relay do you have to mod anything or is it plug & play btw? |

Not looked at the air filter yet. Job for tomorrow (great these holiday things)
Vagcom session planned for tomorrow, need to reset the Ins1 service light on the dash (already got your info on this printed off and ready ). Also generally want to have a snoop about, see what's what.
The wiper relay is plug and play Jon. Remove old and plug in new.
Flick to intermittent, turn off and wait for desired time, flick back on and done. |

Must get one then didn't know about that, just goes to show you are never too old or too ugly to learn something new
Nice wheels but you might struggle with 19" rims, especially width inner arch & linners aren't really designed for wheels that big and you'll need rubber band tyres to make it all work, to me they also look a bit big on this car. 18" look good I so wish they had made TSW Stealth in 18" but 17" was as big as they went..
Some images of Beerbelly's S6 on 19" with rubber bands in this topic

I also possibly think the 19" might be too big too. My dad just put some 18" RS4 reps on his S6 and they look great, also not much room left at all lol. I'll try take some pics tomorrow for you. |

Advice taken on board with wheel size.
Will revise that to 18" in the same style
Looking at 8j x 18" with an offset of ET35.
That should bring the wheel a bit further out of the arch.
Tyre size of 225/40/18 only makes for a 1.6% difference in diameter
(when doing 60mph on speedo, actually doing 61mph)
Could also get same deal with tyre size of 235/40/18, but not sure if 235 will be to wide coupled with ET35? Of course diameter increases as profile is a percentage of the width, but still only 2.7% difference (when doing 60mph, actually doing 61.7mph)
Thanks for the heads up chaps. |

Im pretty sure dad got the 235's with a 35 offset. I'll take some pics 2mora
for you. Not sure if the a6 has the same track width as the s6 so not sure they will fit exactly the same but i would imagine they might.
Will get pics up 2mora eve. |

S6 C4 is different track, not sure on rear as it has the independent 4wd rear instead of the torsion beam Fwd setup. The front however is the same other than the hubs which have from memory about 13mm more positive off set due to the S6 having flared arches.. have S6 front end on my A6 so been there, done that, & worn out the T-shirt |

My finger is hovering over the "buy it now" button.
I find myself without the great Audi bible (bloody 64bit windows 7) so could someone tell me the offset of the standard 15" (shopping trolley anyone?) wheels?
Thinking ET45 - 47 looking at how far they are sucked into the arches.
Jase..

Cheers Chris. Looked into this already. Problem with the virtual PC is that it needs me to upgrade to either 64bit professional or ultimate (I'm on home premium.)
Both around the £120 mark. Even then, lots of people reporting that the hardlock isn't supported on windows7 64 bit while in the process of installing initially.
Word has it, new version of the bible available soon for use on windows 7 with both 32bit and 64bit environments.
I've even thought about using vagcat () with all it's errors and mistakes, but it's down at the minute anyway. |

I may just go boot the old PC up, bit of a ball ache as it's packed away in the loft |

Great isn't it the lastest expensive Microshaft software but you still need the old one to do what you want to do.. kind of reminds me of Renaults credit card key system.. Renault had so much confidence in it they even fitted a get you out of trouble solution... A KEY hidden inside the credit card |

you got power in the loft jas? if so leave it plugged in and hook it up to the router wi wireless, then you can still access from your pc downstairs, just use something like remote desktop to access it. also act as extra hd storage.
there are other virtual machines out there which are free and i'm sure they'll work without upgrading |
