After fitting new calipers to the front end of my 16v Coupe I've no brake pressure worthy of note. Engine running or not the, using either the 'two man' method or a 'pressurized' kit, its proving quite impossible to bleed them.

After an initial hint of resistance the pedal simply collapses to the floor and thereafter very slowly returns to its raised position.

Absolutely no fluid leaks, power steering problems or previously known issues with the Master Cylinder, ABS unit or Pressure Accumulator ['Bomb']

A dab hand with the spanners, I've been through just about everything I can think of now ... anyone been here before?

are you getting fluid through the niples when bleeding the new calipers?

have you bled using proper sequence? ie, n/s/r then o/s/r then n/s/f then o/s/f. start with the furthest away from the resevoir and work towards it.

i had a similar problem but it was my abs unit. second hand one from breaker and all brakes back to normal

Correct sequence .... not much more than a dribble from all calipers.

I heard of flexi hoses, causing a restriction to flow, if you renewed these, prob an ABS prob?
