Although, i do believe the VNT Turbo can have issues with over boosting because the variable fins get clogged up ...

All fixed...

It was the oil leak shorting the starter out it think.

Gave it a clean up and bolted back in. Then turned on the button!

Happy days!

Just cost me 25 for rocker gasket to stop ...

I clamped it in my vice, took my car battery out & tested it.....

So did you leave it idleing over for a few mins or just leave the ignition off before starting for a bit?

If you look at the top of the A4 forum list, there is a sticky thread i did telling how to change the CV boot.
In doing this i took the drive shaft out and CV joint off the end too..

Have you checked out your lower balljoint?

I had a clunky noise when i braked and narrowed it down to a very warn ball joint.

Funny, I've just done my lower ball joint arm & was also puzzled shorty about how to get the bolt out..
Luckly its not to hard to drop the subframe (3 bolts), but it was a pain trying to lever it ...

Reconed my old battery was a diesel version someone had dumped in, which had more powerful "cold crank", but was fine ...
