Looked into chipping it and it's probably not possible due to it being the Bosch ecu. Sure the older version was easier chipped.

The engine is likely going to have to come out due to snapped studs ...

The ADR from an A4 should be a straight swap, there's plenty of them lying about in breakers yards these days!

You can get the full set in 5 stud from Germany for about 400(ish), brand new old stock.

I'm tempted just to do the 5 stud conversion (I have all the gubbins lying) and be done with it! Smile

Your fuel filter will be where all the stuff at the bottom of the tank goes, might be worth replacing that before the hassle of removing the tank?

Chances are your gauge suffers from the bad connec ...
