I hope it lasts. Sometimes you get what you pay for.
I'd probably prefer to fit genuine parts or not replace it at all |

As Mike_H says, there is a tensioner on the NG.
Helped a friend change his.
You'll possibly need a timing light after the change. |

If you want stiffer springs you can still retain the same ride height but ... |

it's always preferable to fit Coupe bits if you can. 80/90 parts should be a plan B if you can't get Coupe ones.
The Coupe was quite a bit heavier than the 80. |

I'd have real issues fitting that to a Coupe as it's apparently for the B4 Audi 80 which used a completely different rear suspension set up.

I'd recommend stripping the brakes down and checking everything first before replacing anything.
It's likely the pads are sticking in the carriers |

Is this all the time or only from cold.
There's a lot of dampness in the air just now that will stick the brakes from cold |

Just best to confirm that the fluid in the system is green.
if anyone has added ATF and the fluid appears red, you'll need to get it drained and flushed |

My concern is that the seals may have fail ... |

The subframe has the anti roll bar, wishbones and gearbox mounts. Think it's only 1 gearbox mount on the fwd cars.
I've just changed them on my 90q 20v. It wasn't too bad a job. |

you shouldn't be using ATF
G00 4000 hydraulic oil only. It's green in colour which matches the cap on the reservoir.
You'll have to get the system flushed |

It's normally the element which gives up. A new glass is needed to fix
Bit of a coincedence for both to fail together but possible.
Pretty sure they only work when the rear screen heater is on. |

The heater circuit is used to assist heating the lambda probe to its required operating temperature.
